/SCMTMS/PLN_LOAD_PLANNING_BGD - Load Planning

Purpose

You can use this report to start an automatic load planning run instead of starting the load optimizer from the transportation cockpit.

Integration

For more information about the integration of this report into overall background processing, see Transportation Management → Basic Functions -> Background Processingunder SAP Library for S/4 Hana at http://help.sap.com.

Prerequisites

You have created selection profiles, which determine the input for the load optimizer (for the selection of road freight orders, trailer units, and container units).

You have defined load planning settings, which determine specific rules for your load optimizer run.

If you want to start this report in simultaneous parallel sessions, you have indicated a parallel processing profile in your load planning settings.

NOTE

Since each parallel process calls the load optimizer separately, make sure that the maximum number of parallel processes in your parallelization profiles is smaller than the number of slots that are availalbe for your load optimizer in general.

This report starts the planning process according to the load planning strategy for the load optimizer that you maintained in the load planning settings.

To use this report, you must run program /SCMTMS/PLN_LOADPLAN. You must specify the following settings:

• Selection profile

• Load planning settings

Based on the chosen profiles and settings, the system selects freight documents. The system calls the load optimizer according to the load planning strategy. The system logs all messages that it issues when executing the function in the application log under object /SCMTMS/TMS and subject PLN.
