Purpose

You use this report to upload definitions of organizational hierarchies from SAP ERP, SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM), an internal SAP S/4 HANA component, or an external SAP S/4 HANA system into Transportation Management (TM).

Integration

Prerequisites

To upload definitions of organizational hierarchies from an SAP ERP system, an external SAP S/4 system, or an internal component of the SAP S/4 HANA system into TM, you must have defined part of the following information in that system:

  • Sales organizations, including sales offices and sales groups
  • Purchasing organizations, including purchasing groups

To upload definitions of organizational hierarchies from an SAP SCM system into TM, you must have defined organizational units with the following roles and functions in your SAP SCM system:

  • Sales organizations, including sales offices and sales groups
  • Purchasing organizations, including purchasing groups
  • Execution and planning organizations, including execution and planning groups
  • Forwarding Houses

Features

Selection

The report is executed in TM. TM reads and displays the organizational hierarchy data from the relevant systems. It creates transferred elements as organizational units in TM.

To refine the selection of existing definitions of organizational hierarchies from SAP ERP, SAP SCM, an external SAP S/4 system, or an internal component of the SAP S/4 HANA system, you can enter the relevant company code, sales organization, and purchasing organization in the start screen.

To refine the selection of existing organizational units in the TM system, you can enter the relevant company organization, sales organization, purchasing organization, and execution and planning organization in the start screen.

To transfer organizational elements from the source hierarchy into the TM hierarchy, drag the organizational element from the source organizational hierarchy to the TM organizational hierarchy. Alternatively, you can use the pushbuttons to transfer selected organizational elements.

For elements you have transferred from the TM hierarchy, you can perform the following activities:

  • Remove elements
  • Undo full transfers of information provided you have not saved the transferred elements

You cannot delete organizational units that already exist in the TM system with this report. To delete units that already exist, use the Organization and Staffing Tool report.

Example

Standard Variants

If you do not refine your selections, the report reads the following information:

  • All existing definitions of organizational hierarchies from the connected SAP ERP system, SAP SCM system, external SAP S/4 system, or internal component of the SAP S/4 HANA system.
  • All existing organizational units for the following elements from the TM system:
  • Corporate organizations

  • Company organizations

  • Sales organizations, including sales offices and sales groups,

  • Purchasing organizations, including purchasing groups

  • Execution and planning organizations, including execution and planning groups

  • Forwarding Houses

Output

The report creates and saves uploaded organizational units in the TM system.
