Purpose

You can use this report to automate the setup of ALE Customizing to enable master data transfer from an enterprise management system, such as SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP, to decentralized Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) based on SAP S/4HANA. You can only use it in the enterprise management system, which is the sender system. Do not use this report in EWM embedded in SAP S/4HANA or SAP EWM.

You need to perform all steps in the report for the master data to work correctly. The report does not overwrite any existing settings. The system displays a message if the information already exists.

Prerequisites

You have created the reduced message types in the receiver system. You can do this with the report /SPE/R_DEC_EWM_REDUCE_MESSTYPE.

Features

You can transfer master data for the following IDoc message types:

  • Reduced message type for materials (based on message type MATMAS)
  • Reduced message type for vendors (based on message type CREMAS)
  • Reduced message type for customers (based on message type DEBMAS)
  • Message type for batch characteristics (CHRMAS)
  • Message type for batch classifications (CLFMAS)
  • Message type for batch classes (CLSMAS)
  • Message type for business partner addresses (ADRMAS)
  • Message type for batches (BATMAS)
  • Message type for QM inspection setup (MATQM)

In the sender system, the report performs the following Customizing:

  • Sets change pointers for the IDoc message types listed:
  • If you select the Activate Change Pointers radio button, the system creates the necessary TBDA2 entry for all message types. For reduced message types, the system creates the necessary entries for all message type fields into table TBD62.

  • If you select the No Changes in Change Pointers radio button, the system does not perform any actions.

  • If you select the Deactivate Change Pointers radio button, the entries relevant to the message types are deleted.

  • If you select the Maintain Retail Settings checkbox, the system creates additional entries for all reduced message types for materials. If you want to transfer articles from a sender system, this setting allows the system to create entries for articles as well.

  • Generates an ALE distribution model for data transfer from the sender to the receiver system:
  • The system adds the message types to the distribution model.

  • The system adds BAPIs for batches and addresses to the distribution model.

  • The system sets up dependent distribution between a material message type and batches, and between a material message type and classifications.

  • The system sets up dependent distribution between customer message types and addresses, and vendor message types and addresses.

  • Sets the following filters in the ALE distribution model:
  • For message type CLFMAS - "Class Type" = "022" OR "023"

  • For message type CLSMAS - "Class Type" = "022" OR "023"

  • For the reduced message type for materials for Material Type and Material Group. If you select the Activate Enhanced Filtering and Transfer Options checkbox, then Plant and Storage Locationare also added as a filter.

  • For the reduced message type for vendors for Vendor Account Group. If you select the Activate Enhanced Filtering and Transfer Options checkbox, the Purchasing Organization and Company Code are also added as a filter.

  • For the reduced message type for customers for Customer Account Group. If you select the Activate Enhanced Filtering and Transfer Options checkbox, the Sales Organization and Company Code are also added as a filter.

  • Creates an ALE IDoc Port for the sender system to enable ALE message sending
  • Creates partner profiles for the receiver system in order to send IDoc messages to it
  • Adds outbound parameters to the partner profile for the IDoc message types
  • Sets the IDoc mode for the outbound parameters. The following options are available:
  • Immediate IDoc Mode: The system generates an output for each IDoc immediately.

  • Collective IDoc Mode: The system generates a collective output for all the IDocs at a defined time.

  • Creates conversion rules for material maintenance status

If you want to transfer setup data for quality inspection, select the Allow Distribution of Setup Data for Quality Inspectioncheckbox. As a result, the system will do the following:

  • message type MATQM is considered during change pointer activation or deactivation
  • the BAPI for message type MATQM is added to the distribution model
  • the outbound parameter for message type MATQM is created

Under Settings, you can execute the report in the following modes:

  • You can select the Check Customizing radio button, to display the existing entries in the Customizing and their current status. In this mode, no changes are saved.
  • You can select the Check and Perform Customizing radio button to save the changes in the Customizing.
