Purpose

You use the report E-Mail Reminders for Pending Tasks (/SRMSMC/REM_TSK) to automatically send out e-mails to users who have created tasks as well as to task processors, reminding them of tasks being due or overdue.

Recommendation:Schedule the report to run daily in batch mode.

Integration

Prerequisites

  • You have been assigned the Technical Role with Authorization to Start Reports in Supplier and Category Mgt (/SRMSMC/REPORT_EXEC_ADMIN) and you are authorized to process the objects and data handled by the report. Note that some of the reports in Supplier and Category Management additionally check the start authorizations for the relevant ICF services that process the same data as the report. This is to ensure that the user is experienced in handling the data affected by the report and is aware of its effects.
  • SAP delivers standard alert categories, that is, reminder texts for the reminder e-mails.
If you want to use your own texts, you have to maintain alert categories in Customizing for Supplier and Category Management under Activity Management → Reminder Settings → Define Alert Categories.
  • You have defined how many days before and after the due date you want to send reminders in Customizing for Supplier and Category Management under → Activity Management → Reminder Settings → Define Reminder Levels.
In this Customizing activity, you can define different levels of reminders, depending on the number of days before or after the due date, and assign alert categories to them.
