Purpose

Maintenance of a file in the layered repository.

Selection

The namespace, name, type and layer of the file must be specified. Note that file namespace and file name are case-sensitive. If the file to be maintained is assigned to a package which requires recording into a transport then the ID of a modifiable transport request must be specified in addition. If you want to maintain a file in the USER layer for a user that is not the current logon user than you must specify the ID of this user in field "User name". The content of the file must be uploaded from a local file. The file path of this local file has to be provided in field "Filepath". If you want to maintain an activated .version file or a file that is assigned to an activated .version file you have to check "Allow for activated version". In case the file is located in a cross-client layer and you want to maintain the file for a specific ABAP language version you must check "Specify ABAP Language Version" and select the desired language version using the F4 help of field "ABAP Language Version".
