Encoding for XML display

These options allow to change the encoding that is used for the XML display window. This might be necessary if the default encoding used by the browser on your PC (e.g. Internet Explorer) does not allow to display the XML messages correctly within the SAP GUI.

Note: These options have no effect on the list view, they only influence the XML display windows.

There are 2 options that can be used separately or in combination:

• 'Remove from the message':

The encoding specified in an XML message is removed before the message is displayed in the XML display window.

• 'Insert none' / 'Insert ISO-8859-1' / 'Insert UTF-8' / 'Insert other...':

A pre-defined or a user-defined encoding can be inserted at the beginning of the XML message before it is passed to the XML display window.
