Purpose

With this program, you can find or create links to the Knowledge Warehouse that can be used in SAPScript.

Integration

Can only be called via the program ABAP_KW_LINK.

Activities

  1. Display the required SAP Library text in the browser.
  2. Execute program.
  3. Copy the LOIO and SLOIO from the address line of the browser into the corresponding fields on the selection screen. Appropriate values (XDP_STRUCT/IWB_STRUCT or BCO_COMMON/IWB_EXTHLP) must be specified for the structure class and topic class.
  4. Specify unique key text (the SPEC_TEXT field of IWREFERENC, SPEC_PROG will be filled with "ABAP_DOCU_KW_LINK"). An optional key value can be specified for an industry enhancement.

    These keys are saved and used to locate the link when it is used. These fields can be set for the associated documentation only. In SAP Basis the industry enhancement has to remain empty.
  5. Execute.
  6. The program creates a new ID or suggests using an existing ID.
  7. On the result screen, the syntax for the help link is displayed in SAPscript. Here you can test, save, and transport the link. A new link can also be deleted.

Recommendations

A new help link should be transported in the same request as the SAPscript document where it is first used. This ensures that the link works correctly in the help display.
