Purpose

With this report you can migrate information about the diagnostics-relevance of product instances from transaction SMSY, into the Landscape Management Database (LMDB).

After an upgrade from SAP Solution Manager 7.0, 7.0 EHP1, or 7.1 SP01 to 04, Diagnostics-Relevant flags for installed product instances of technical systems are not yet set in the LMDB.

In SAP Solution Manager 7.0 or 7.01, you could manage Diagnostics-Relevant flags in transaction SMSY.

Note: Values are only migrated for records for which there are not yet values in the LMDB. No values are overwritten.

Integration

This report is integrated in SAP Solution Manager under SAP Solution Manager Configuration -> System Preparation -> Prepare Landscape Description -> Migrate SMSY Data into LMDB.

Activities

Use the import as follows:

  1. Accept the predefined values for CIM domain and namespace and choose Execute. (SAP GUI for HTML skips this step).
  2. The system generates a list of technical systems for which the Diagnostics-Relevant flag is set. You can see whether migration is possible for each of them.
  3. By default, all technical systems for which migration is possible are selected. Deselect those that are not required in the LMDB.
  4. You can preview the information to be written into the LMDB, in Simulation Mode. Simulation does not persist any data in the LMDB. Nothing is overwritten or deleted.
  5. Perform the migration.
