Purpose

This report (AI_SC_REFRESH_NEW_CUSTOMER) reads the full admin data for a specified new customer from the support backbone to SAP Solution Manager. This is a quick way to synchronize the data instead of waiting for the daily job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT to update all customers.

Compared with job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT, this report does the following:

  • Can be executed directly in transaction SE38/SA38
  • Works only in a multi-customer scenario
  • Downloads data in one asynchronous communication with the support backbone (no continuous job)
  • Downloads only system numbers, installation numbers, short texts of all systems that are also known in the landscape management database (transaction LMDB), contact persons for the installations and their authorizations
  • Downloads data for only one specified customer per execution

Integration

Prerequisites

  • The communication channel to SAP must be set up correctly in SAP Solution Manager Configuration (transaction SOLMAN_SETUP) under Mandatory Configuration > System Preparation > Set Up Connections to SAP > Finalize Support Hub Connectivity.
  • An s-user from SAP Support Backbone must be assigned to the SAP Solution Manager user who runs this report, in transaction AISUSER. The report only loads installation-specific data from support backbone for which the s-user has the "Edit System Data" authorization.

Features

Parameters

  • SAP Customer Number: Select or enter the SAP customer number that you want to download.
  • Parent Customer Number: Select or enter the parent of the customer to be downloaded. By default, this is the customer number of SAP Solution Manager.
  • View Only: Saves and displays only the trace file.
  • Save: Updates the database tables and trace file.
