Purpose

With this report, you can create users and business partners in SAP Solution Manager system automatically.

Integration

The system reads the s-user data by means of the report REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM SUPPORT which are delivered from the SAP backbone. For more information about the usage of this report, see SAP Library of SAP Solution Manager -> IT Service Management. In the menu, choose Help -> Application Help.

Prerequisites

  • This report is relevant for Service Provider (VAR) only.
  • You have the necessary authorizations to execute the report.

Features

Entering the SAP customer number, the report searchs for all appropriate s-users. Afterwards, you make additional settings for the report. The report is built up of three input areas:

  • Business Partner Options
  • System User Options
  • General Options

Selection

Business Partner Options

  • Choose Authorization Type
With the authorization type you can determine which s-user should be selected.
Some information of the identification number are already defined. You can find the information in Maintain Business Partner (transaction BP), tab Identification. The elements of the identification number are: .
  • Choose Country
With the choice of the country, you can determine if the business partner will be created with the country of the s-user or with another country. This information is relevant for the support when processing system messages.

System User Options

  • Create System User
You can determine if the report should create a system user directly. In addition, you can enter a reference user and additional roles.
  • Update SAP Support Portal Contact Person Assignment
You can define if the report should make a matching during the report with SAP Support Portal Contact Person Assignment table (transaction AISUSER).
  • Notification Options
You can set up an e-mail notification function to inform when the user is created in SAP Solution Manager system.

General Options

  • You can determine if the newly created user or business partner is locked in the system.
  • Finally, you choose in which mode the report should be executed.
Note:
We recommend to execute the report in test mode, first.
  • After execution, a log file with the results of the report will be created.

Activities

  1. Enter a customer number.
  2. Make additional settings if applicable.
  3. Choose in which mode the report should be executed.
  4. Choose Execute.
