Purpose

You can use this report to calculate the number of entries in tables VBBE and RESB for each material-plant combination. If the number of entries exceeds a defined threshold, the relevant material-plant combination is flagged as relevant for liveCache processing.

liveCache is activated for both tables if the volume that must be reached in order for a material-plant combination to be flagged as relevant for liveCache processing is achieved in at least one of the tables, VBBE or RESB.

Prerequisites

SAP liveCache must be installed (see SAP Note 2407589).

Features

Selection

If entries are made for any of the following parameters, the condition must be fulfilled in order for the material-plant combination to be considered as relevant for liveCache:

  • Total Volume for Activation
    As soon as table VBBE contains at least the number of sales document entries contained in this field, the material-plant combination is flagged as being relevant for liveCache.
  • RESB Factor
    The Total Volume for Activation is multiplied by the RESB factor to calculate the contents of table RESB.
  • Average Volume for Activation
    The average amount of entries for the material availability date that tables VBBE or RESB must contain.
  • Deactivation Factor
    If the deactivation factor is greater than 1, all material-plant combinations with less data than the total (or average) volume, divided by the deactivation factor, are deselected for liveCache processing.
  • Display Candidates (No Commit)
    Flagging this checkbox lists the potential material-plant combinations that would be flagged for liveCache usage or removed from liveCache processing, based on the current parameters. The results listed are not written to the database.
  • Spread liveCache use
    If liveCache is already used for at least one material in a plant, flagging this checkbox will flag all materials in that plant for liveCache usage.
