Purpose

You can use this report to delete supply protection objects and supply protection groups used in advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP).

Features

The destruction report deletes blocked supply protection objects and supply protection groups if their retention period is expired.

Prerequisites

To identify the data for deletion, you must first create a policy and define retention periods. If no policy is available for the ILM object, call transaction IRMPOL and select the following values:

  • Policy category: Retention Rules
  • Object category: SAP Business Suite
  • ILM object: ATP_SUP_DESTRUCTION

When the report is executed, only those supply protection objects, supply protection groups and their dependent data will be destroyed if the retention periods maintained in Customizing have been exceeded: any blocked supply protection objects and supply protection groups whose retention periods are still valid will not be destroyed.

Activities

You can run the report in two modes:

  • Test Mode
    Simulates the destruction process as chosen in the selection criteria: the simulated results are logged and displayed using the standard functions defined in the Detail Log and Log Output fields.
  • Production Mode
    Physically destroys the data as chosen in the selection criteria: the results are logged and displayed using the standard functions defined in the Detail Log and Log Output fields.

Note:

In the test mode, you can see the supply protection groups that belong to the supply protection object that will be deleted, in the list of supply protection groups. In the production mode, these supply protection groups are not displayed because the supply protection objects they belong to are already deleted.
