BC505TS3 - Create a tablespace overflow in update task

Description

Report BC505TS2 is used for training purposes. Table BC505TS is inserted in update task. After a certain number of commits the allocation of a NEXT extent will fail because tablespace PSAPUSER1D flows over. The update will stop. Extend tablespac PSAPUSER1D by more than 5M and then reactivate the update. The report will finish.

Requirements

Run report BC505TS1 as preparation. The table BC505TS will have less than 5 MB freespace and a NEXT extent size of 5MB.

Output

No output, after a short while the allocation of a next extent will fail for table BC505TS. Update will stop.

Example

Run report BC505TS1, then run report BC505TS3. Use transaction SM13 to show deactivated update. Extend tablespace PSAPUSER1D by more than 5MB and use SM13 to reactivate the update service. BC505TS3 will finish successfully.
