CDS_VIEW_CACHE_REACTIVATION - Report to Reactivate CDS View Cache

Purpose

This report makes the SAP HANA feature Result Cache preliminarily available for use in SAP S/4HANA. Later there may be a successor solution to make the feature available.

You use this report to create the result caches. It also fills the result caches based on your selection. Result caches provides the option of evaluating a view for a predefined time and reuse this cached data when the view is accessed by a query.

Integration

Use this report if you just want to create or change the HANA result cache definitions.

If you want to create or change the HANA result cache definitions and fill them immediately, use the report CDS_VIEW_CACHE_DATA_FILL instead.

Prerequisites

You can execute this report only if you have authorization for executing transaction REACTIVATE_CDS_CACHE.

Features

Selection

If you select the "Fill Cache as well" checkbox, then the report creates a cache and fills it with data collected from the area that you have selected.

If you unselect the "Fill Cache as well" checkbox, then the report only creates cache.

Standard Variants

Output

The screen displays the list of objects for which the HANA result caches where either created, changed and/or filled.
