Purpose

Logistics documents can contain pricing conditions with floating prices. These prices, or their estimated values, change daily and they are commonly uploaded into the system daily as price changes.

The report CMM_LREV allows you to perform a new pricing to keep the price values and also subsequent values such as risk management or credit management of these documents up to date, in accordance with underlying price changes or price estimate changes. This includes price updates of follow-on documents of orders, such as deliveries, goods receipts, and invoices.

Integration

Revaluation of Logistics Documents is integrated in MM (for procurement), SD (for sales and distribution), TRM (for Treasury and Risk Management), and GTM (for trading contracts in Global Trade Management).

Prerequisites

A document item can only be processed if it contains at least one pricing condition with a floating price.

You must activate Revaluation of Logistics Documents in Customizing. Then you must process the initial load report, CMM_LREV_INIT for all relevant documents.

Features

Selection

The following documents can be selected by the report:

  • Purchase orders
  • Purchasing contracts:
Because purchasing contracts contain master conditions instead of document conditions, a special logic is implemented for these. The report only updates the risk distribution plans (RDPs) and sends the raw exposure to Treasury and Risk Management (TRM). The values of the raw exposures are based on a price simulation.
  • Sales orders
  • Sales contracts
  • Trading contracts

The user cannot select goods receipts or deliveries explicitly. These documents are selected automatically by the report if the corresponding purchase order or sales order is selected.

To reprocess items with errors, the following parameters can be used:

  • Items with Errors Only: If this checkbox is selected, the report processes only items that have been processed before, but have not been completed successfully due to an error.
  • Run Timestamp: Whenever you run the report, the start date and time of the run are stored. You can select this date and time if you want to process all documents from a specific run (for example if certain market data was not uploaded correctly).

Standard Variants

Output

If the Display Results checkbox is selected, the report displays all processed documents on the results screen. The default view shows basic header, item, and pricing condition data.

To display an overview of the raw exposures sent to TRM, choose the Switch to Exposure Viewpushbutton. Note that this function does not support outbound delivery exposures.

To display the document in the corresponding online transaction, double-click on the document data.

To display the message log directly without having to call transaction SLG1 in a separate session, choose the status information icon (green, yellow or red icon) in the Header Log or Item Log column of the Document View or in the Log column of the Exposure View. If the report is run as a background job, you can display the messages in transaction SLG1.

If the Simulation Run (No Postings) checkbox is selected, the system runs the report and displays the results without posting anything to the database.

If the Log Errors Only checkbox is selected, the system logs only error messages, and not warnings or information messages.

To speed up the processing time, you can use the Max. Number of Parallel Jobs parameter to optimize the number of parallel jobs that are started by the report to revaluate the documents.

If the Simulation Run (No Postings) checkbox is not selected, you can select the Release Trading Contract checkbox. The system then updates the underlying purchase documents and sales documents if all of the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • The trading contract revaluation has run successfully
  • The trading contract already has underlying documents
  • The trading contract status is ready to release underlying documents

If the Simulation Run (No Postings) checkbox is selected, the system runs the report without releasing the trading contract. The results do not then contain the underlying documents of the trading contract.
