CNVC_CCE_TM_CONV_2 - Define Mapping for Customizing Comparison (Optional)

Title
Purpose
In this activity, you define mapping rules to be considered during the comparison.
Mapping involves changing the values of a field from an existing value to a new value. In this activity, you can specify mapping values for Objects.
If you specify a new value for an object, the system uses this new value for the comparison. The old value is not considered.
You can also use this activity to exclude entries (for example irrelevant conflicts) from the comparison.
A mapping record consists of the following fields:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Package ID | The package ID that the mapping is valid for. |
System ID | The system that the mapping is valid for. |
Table | The table that is relevant for the mapping. You can use "*" if the mapping is valid for all tables. |
Object Type | You can specify which object is relevant for the mapping. You can choose a domain (DOMNAME), a data element (ROLLNAME), or a field (FIELDNAME). |
Name of Object Type | The value of the object that is relevant for the mapping. |
Old Value | The existing value. You can use "*" if the field is relevant for mapping, regardless of content. |
New value | The new value. |
Example 1:
The following record sets the content of field SAPRL to space (for table T681 of system S01 of Pack ID 9xxxx)
Field | Description |
---|---|
Package ID | 9xxxx |
System ID | S01 |
Table | T681 |
Object Type | FIELDNAME |
Name of Object Type | SAPRL |
Old Value | * |
New Value |
Example 2:
The following record sets the content of all table fields defined by domain WFCID from 01 to 02 (for system S01 of Pack ID 9xxxx) in order to compare the settings of factory calendar ID 01 for one system with the settings of factory calendar ID 02 of the other systems:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Package ID | 9xxxx |
System ID | S01 |
Table | * |
Object Type | DOMAIN |
Name of Object Type | WFCID |
Old Value | 01 |
New Value | 02 |
