Title

Purpose

In this activity, you can check whether any of the data elements in the systems involved in the repository comparison have the same name as a database table or structure in another system.

Do not make delta transports unless you are sure that no naming conflict exists

In an SAP system, you cannot create a data element that has the same name as a database table or a database structure. During the harmonization process, you may need to transport missing objects to certain systems. This process is known as a delta transport.

If you use the repository analysis as a basis for delta transports, you could accidentally transport a data element to a system with an already existing data element or structure that has the same name. This can result in serious errors.

Before you make any delta transports, you can execute this activity to check whether the naming conflict described above exists.
