Description

The program assigns evaluation rules to relevant components of non-transparent fields for the active package. It uses the existing settings in the delivery client for components of a non-transparent field in the following way: If there are entries for the package number that is assigned as the source package number (if there is one) for the component of the non-transparent field, these entries are stored. Otherwise, the related entries of package number 10020 are stored. If these do not exist either, a suggestion for the evaluation rule and its parameters is tried to be created.

Notes

Be aware that not only components of non-transparent fields to be converted are handled. Evaluation rules can also be reqired e.g. for components of non-transparent fields that are required for org determination. In this case there is no source package number available.

Selection screen

On the selection screen, you can specify the tables, non-transparent fields and components that you want to consider.

If the indicator for considering the "exclude" indicator in CNVTABLES is set, the system assigns evaluation rules only for components of non-transparent fields to be converted for which the "exclude" indicator is set at table level. (During the package check, a CWB basis functionality normally sets this indicator for tables that are empty in the system. For testing purposes, however, you may want to assign determination paths to these tables as well.)

The parameter User mode can be used to enable the best guess mode. Depending on the value of parameter BEST_GUESS_MODE (transaction CNV_10030_CWBPARAM), for a standard user suggestions on SAP standard tables/fields and or customer tables/fields will automatically be released. Normally, the org package decides via an exit or parameter if the user is a standard user or not.

Action

If the indicator Delete existing assignments is set, existing assignments for the package are deleted first. If the indicator Only delete assignments that are no longer needed is set, this applies only to those assignments that are no longer required (for example, if you decide to exclude fields from the conversion after this step has been performed). If it is not set, all assignments are deleted.

If the indicator Make new assignments is set, only components for non-transparent fields for which no assignment has been made are considered. This makes it possible to start the program again every time new components of non-transparent fields are added without destroying the existing assignments.

Before the program assigns evaluation rules, it checks the rules for technical correctness.

If you delete the indicator Check RCOMP/RDPARM entries for correctness, the RCOMP and RDPARM entries are not checked for correct maintenance (again).

If the indicator Check only for new entries is set, the program does the checks only if it has found components of non-transparent fields for which no assignment has been made yet.

Output

The program can store the output either in the log or in a list.

Processing

If the indicator Test run is set, the assignments are only output, but not stored in the database. However no log is output and no status is set.

If the indicator Execute in background is set, the program is executed in the background with the current settings as specified on the selection screen.
