Purpose

The report is meant to delete all entries in the table NRIV (number range intervals) for the number range objects ISH_NFAL and ISH_NORG.

The poblem is that these two number range objects belong to the Core (for historical reasons) and that their characteristics differ from the original characteristics of the number range objects in IS-H: In the Core, both objects have the data element subobject EINRI, while they do not have a data element subobject in IS-H. When a system on a release elevel lower then ERP2005 and without IS-H is upgraded, this causes an error message "2EENR347ISubobject can only be deleted if no intervals exist".

Integration

Prerequisites

The report should run only for customers who do not have IS-H in use. We assume that the incorrect definition of the number range objects occurs only in customer systems where IS-H is not in use. Consequently, it should not be a problem to delete the intervals because they are not used. Once the intervals for the two number range objects have been deleted, the number range objects can be changed in the course of the upgrade.

Customers who have IS-H in use already have the correct definition of the number range objects in place (from a previous IS-H upgrade), so that the error message mentioned above should not occur. In this case, you must not delete the intervals, because they are used productively!

The report must run before the upgrade. If this is not the case, the error message mentioned above will occur in any customer system in which IS-H is not in use. However you can ignore it. The report will then run after the upgrade and provide the prerequisites for avoiding error messages for the number range objects ISH_NFAL and ISH_NORG during the next upgrade.
