Title

Partner Platform: Package definition function.

Purpose

Package definition function will be used to define a package. Using this function user would be able to define various attributes of a package and also define the packages on which the package under consideration will depend on (when a package uses other migration packages as their base package).

Integration

This function will be an elementary unit of Partner platform development. This will integrate with the Partner platform via the Package overview function. It would be accessible from the main screen of Package overview function.

Prerequisites

Package which is being defined using this program should exist in the database table CNVMBTPACK, CNVMBTPACKT. For this user needs to use the Package overview function to create a package.

Selection

This function will receive Package id of the package being defined as a parameter along with the mode in which the application needs to operate (Edit/View). Using this function user will be able to define various attributes of a Package using simple text fields, and he will also be able to define the dependent packages for the selected package.

For selecting dependent package user will have to simply choose from the list of available package and add to the list of dependent packages. User will also have the feature to delete a dependent packages. When user adds a dependent package, all the dependent packages of the added dependent package will also be added as indirect dependents. Similarly when a package is deleted from the list of dependent packages, all the indirect dependent associated with the package being deleted will also be deleted.

Output

Output of the function will be a defined package with all its attributes set and its dependent packages declared. The database table which will reflect the output are CNVMBTPACK, CNVMBTPACKT, CNVMBTPACKDP.
