Title

Selection Group Definition and Maintenance

Purpose

This application is developed to provide the user with an easy and intuitive interface to maintain the information regarding the selection group and its entire hierarchy. The important functionalities of this application include:

,,- Selection Group Hierarchy Maintenance

,,- Member Type Maintenance

,,- Migration Object and Selection group relationship maintenance

,,Integration

This application is a part of the Partner Platform developed.

Prerequisites

The package for which the Selection Groups have to be maintained is to be specified.

Selection

There are two modes of working. Edit and Display mode.

EDIT MODE

,,SELECTION GROUP MAINTENANCE

The package under which the selection groups have to be maintained is specified by the user. The user gets a list of selection groups under this package in the form of a tree. Right click on the node to perform maintenance of: members, selection clause, variants, values and references of the selection group. There are also other options like: Displaying the where-used list and maintaining the documentation of the selection group.

Navigation to the Selection Member Maintenance screen and Migration Object-Selection Group relationship maintenance from this screen is possible.

,,MEMBER TYPE MAINTENANCE

The member types used to build the selection groups are maintained using this function. This would include the domain, roll name, data type and data length of the member types. The user can create, edit and delete the member types.

,,MIGRATION OBJECT- SELECTION SCREEN RELATIONSHIP MAINTENANCE

Here the relationship between the migration object and selection group is maintained. This includes: Ranking of the selection groups suitable for a migration object and displaying the where clause for a particular migration object.

DISPLAY MODE

,,In this case the user can only view the already existing entries for selection groups, member types and migration object-selection group. This would mean that the user has no authority to change the already present information

EDIT MODE

,,SELECTION GROUP MAINTENANCE

The package under which the selection groups have to be maintained is specified by the user. The user gets a list of selection groups under this package in the form of a tree. Each node of the tree refers to a selection group. After the selection group is created we can maintain the hierarchy - members, selection clause, variants, values and references of the selection group. The hierarchy screen has also other options - Displaying the where-used list and maintaining the documentation of the selection group.

The user can navigate to the Selection Member Maintenance screen and Migration Object-Selection Group relationship maintenance from this screen.

The member types used to build the selection groups are maintained using this function. This would include the domain, roll name, data type and data length of the member types. Creation, edit and delete functionalities are provided here.
