CNV_PE_PCL_ASSIGN_PROJ - Assign Posting Engine Project to PCL Package

Purpose

You can use this program to assign an existing posting engine project to your PCL package.

Features

Selection

Assign Project Copy

You can set this flag if you want to create a copy of a selected project and assign it to your PCL package. If this flag is not set the selected project will be assigned to the PCL package directly. This flag is set automatically if the selected project is already assigned to any PCL package.

Synchronize RFC Settings

You can set this flag if you want to distribute RFC settings of your current PCL package to all areas assigned to the selected project (recommended).

If the flag is notset, the RFC connections must be properly defined for all areas of the existing posting engine project.

Note

This program provides the following features:

• Inserting two new activities Adjust Imported Area Settings and Generate Transformation Rules to the PCL process tree. These activities will be started automatically as soon as project assignment is successfully completed. Furthermore the process tree is restarted

• Creating and starting a subactivity CNV_PE_IMPORT_PROJ for the main activity Assign Project (Optional).The subactivity is performing the actual project copy (if requested) and assigning the (copied) project to the PCL package

• Setting the activities Define Areas, Adjust Delivered Area Settings, and Define Settings for Postings to 'Success'.

After the subactivity CNV_PE_IMPORT_PROJ is finished successfully, the newly created activities Adjust Imported Area Settings and Generate Transformation Rules are started automatically.
