Purpose
You can use the report to distribute the current version and all future planned versions of material BOMs to another system.
Integration
The report is required for the integration of SAP ERP with SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME) to transfer planned BOMs to SAP ME.
Prerequisites
- You have set up ALE integration for the message type BOMMAT.
- You use change management to manage material BOM versions.
Features
The program determines all versions of material BOMs from the Valid-From Date entered that match the selection criteria. The BOM versions are sent in individual IDoc messages of message type BOMMAT. The standard transaction for sending material BOMs, BD30, is called up in a loop for each valid-from date of all selected material BOMs. For each of these valid-from dates, you can decide which BOMs you want to send.
Selection
The selection screen corresponds to the selection screen of transaction BD30. Use the F1 help to find out more about each selection criterion.
Standard Variants
Output
The program displays the output screen for transaction BD30 for the relevant material BOMs for each valid-from date. You can decide for which of the BOMs displayed you want to generate an IDoc. Then choose Exit to go to the output for the next valid-from date.
Activities
Example
You have created a BOM for material A and from that, using change numbers, you have generated versions whose validity starts on April 1 and May 1. If you execute the report on March 1 with the validity date March 1 for material A, the transaction BD30 is called up three times in total. Therefore you can send a BOM IDoc with the BOM status of March 1, April 1, and May 1 respectively.
