Purpose

You can rebuild the end of business data used for the end of purpose check (EoP) using the rebuild retention information (CRMC_EOP_IDX_REBUILD) report. This allows you to perform the EoP check on your business partner data.

Integration

This report (partially) re-creates entries in the table CRMD_EOB_FOR_BP which stores information about the start of retention (SORT) for a business partner. The SORT is calculated from scratch for all related business partners according to the input specified. The report overwrites existing SORT data for these business partners.

Prerequisites

You have assigned the role SAP_CA_BP_DP_ADMIN to your user.

Features

Standard Variants

Output

The program lists all business transactions that cannot be processed on the output screen.

There are two main reasons for processing errors:

  • Missing Customizing settings
Indicates that the end of purpose (EoP) Customizing settings are inconsistent for the corresponding generic object type.
  • Calculation error
Indicates that the SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) Customizing settings are inconsistent for the corresponding generic object type.

If a processing error occurs, you can run the report again from the output screen.

Activities

You can calculate new SoRT dates for business partners using the Partner ID or GUID.

Choose from the following Selection Criteria:

  • Partner Selection (ID or GUID)
The SoRT for all specified business partners is re-calculated.
  • Reprocess
The specified logs are checked for errors during index rebuild. In case there were issues for business partners or for certain business transactions rebuilding is triggered for all related business partner.

You can use Parallelizationfor your process. The overall number of work processes and the number of available work processes is provided to make it easier to assess current system availability. You can use two parameters to set up the parallelization:

  • Package Size per Work Proc.:
This parameter controls how many business partners are processed by one work process at once.
  • Maximum No. of Work Proc. used:
The actual parallelization is based upon splitting the set of all business transactions to be processed into several parts. You can use this parameter to control the number of subsets that can be processed concurrently. It also indicates the maximum number of work processes that can be used. The actual allocation may be smaller depending on the overall number of business transactions to be processed and the number of business transactions for each work process.

Note:

In order to prevent deny of service, the program internally ensures that at least two work processes remain available. The overall maximum number of work processes that can be allocated by this program is always the number of available work processes minus two.
