CRM_IPM_TMPL_DPL_REGENERATE - Regeneration of derived lines in the settlement data collector

Purpose

You can use this program to execute the regeneration of derived lines. It must be executed after you make changes to the rights dimensions in an acquisition contract item that affect the assignment of derived lines to acquisition contract items. You can execute this report for each contract item individually, or you can regularly schedule the report for all items with the billing block reason OR Post-Edit Req. (RI).

If a rights dimension in an acquisition contract item is changed such that existing derived lines are no longer valid, a billing block with the reason OR Post-Edit Req. (RI) is set. The program searches all blocked billing due list items with the block reason OR Post-Edit Req. (RI) based on the selection criterion, and then deletes the existing derived lines and creates new derived lines for billing due list items of the same acquisition contract (if applicable). If derived lines were already considered in billing, they cannot be deleted and new derived lines will be created for the next open period to correct the values.

After the system reprocesses the derived lines without any errors, the billing block is released. If errors occur, the system does not remove the billing block, and you must run the report for the acquisition contract again.

This report is only designed to regenerate derived lines due after changing the rights dimensions in an acquisition contract item. It is based on the same functionality as the Postprocessor of Settlement Data Collector report (/BEA/IPMO21) with the New Contract Determination option for specific IPM license acquisition contracts. If your changes may result in the regeneration of billing plan items, you need to run the Reset Derived Lines report (/1BEA/R_IPMO_DPL_RESET) to reset the derived lines in the settlement data collector.
