CRM_PRODUCT_UTIL_CREATE_HIER - Create Categories and Hierarchies for Utilities Products
rdisp/max_wprun_time - Maximum work process run time ABAP Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Purpose
Initial generation report used to create a base hierarchy for utilities products.
Integration
This report creates the base hierarchy for utilities products with all required categories and the assignment of set types. The report is available as of CRM 7.0 enhancement package 3.
You can also create the hierarchy manually using the COMM_HIERARCHY transaction.
Prerequisites
1. You must first make the standard settings. If you are for example replicating materials or services from SAP ERP, you have already made the corresponding settings required to do so.
2. You require a base hierarchy for service products with the Productapplication. If this hierarchy does not exist, the report creates it. One example of this is R3PRODSTYP. You do this by choosing the following path in Customizing: Cross-Application Components → SAP Product → Product Category → Assign Category Hierarchies to Applications.
3. You require a root category called ROOT, which is created by the report if it does not already exist.
4. You require a sub category SRV_ which is created by the report if it does not already exist.

Standard Variants
Output
The report displays a log that you can access from the standard application log.
Activities
1. Check the IDs of the hierarchy and the categories. If necessary, modify them to meet your specific requirements.
2. Check if you need the complete hierarchy. If for example you do not require the product determination object, delete the category ISU_PDO.
3. Check the short descriptions of the hierarchy and the categories. If necessary, modify them to meet your specific requirements.
4. Choose Create Hierarchy.
5. The report also maintains the Customizing settings for the product role if you create the corresponding category.
6. Check the categories that have been created using transaction COMM_HIERARCHY and adjust them as required. You can also add additional set types here.
Note: All generation activity is recorded in the application log and can be viewed using transaction SLG1- Analyse Application Log.The corresponding object is CRM_IUPROD_ERRORLOG.
