Purpose

The report CRM_STATUS_MAINTAIN is used for simulating and maintaining system or user statuses in CRM business transactions.

Features

You use this program to do the following, independently of the standard transactions for maintaining business transactions (CRMD_ORDER):

  • Perform a step-by-step simulation of status changes to a business transaction or business transaction item
  • Simulate status changes to existing business transactions or business transaction items
  • Check whether statuses can be changed in different phases of a business transaction
  • Make and change status changes to business transactions

The report is particularly useful in cases where the status maintenance screen is not available in the standard transactions for specific transaction types (Opportunities, Activities).

Selection

  1. To simulate status changes, choose "Simulation (New Transaction)".
    1. If you want to check a status object at header level, simply enter the transaction type.
    2. To check a status object at item level, you must enter both the transaction type and the item category.
  2. To simulate or execute status changes to existing business transactions, choose "Use Existing Transaction".
    1. If you want to check a status object at header level, simply enter the transaction number.
    2. To check a status object at item level, you must enter both the transaction number and the item number.

Output

The system imports an existing business transaction or creates a new one, depending on your entries. It then displays the status detail screen, where you can maintain the status of the business transaction or business transaction item.

Activities

You can set or reset statuses using the menu buttons at the top of the system and user status screens.

Choose "Analysis" at the top of the maintenance screens to obtain detailed information about each status available on the UI, in particular whether it is possible to set a particular status and why.

Choose "Save" to save any changes you have made.
