CS_BOM_PRODVER_MIGRATION - Program for production version migration for BOM determination

Purpose

You use this report to align the data based on the new selection method. We recommend you to enable selection of BOM alternatives based on production version for a simplified BOM explosion approach. This report helps you to merge the various existing selection methods like date customization for Bill of Material (Customizing for Define Alternative Determination for Multiple BOMs under Production->Basic Data->Bill of Material->Alternative Determination) and the lot size defined in Bill of Material to an existing or new production version.

The migration can be done at the material or plant level or for the entire database. Based on the existing lot size or date Customizing, system decides if an existing production version can be used or a new one has to be created. In the case of using an existing production version, there might be some minor adjustments, for example, updating the alternative that the system proposes for effective BOM explosion. You have to approve the proposals for the migration to be complete.
