CS_BOM_PRODVER_MIGRATION02 - Migration Report for Production Version Creation from curr. valid BOMs
ABAP Short Reference Fill RESBD Structure from EBP Component StructureThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Purpose
You can use the report CS_BOM_PRODVER_MIGRATION02 to create production versions for currently valid BOMs and routing information. Since production versions are mandatory for MRP and BOM explosion in SAP S/4 HANA, this report allows a smooth migration from ERP systems to SAP S/4 HANA.
If a suitable production version already exists, it is enhanced by routing data and the validity period and the quantity or lot size are adjusted.
The report is mainly intended for Discrete Manufacturing, but it can also be used for Repetitive Manufacturing and Process Industries.
Integration
Besides the new production versions in MKAL, the production version flag MARC-VERKZ is set and the material document changes are protocolled.
Prerequisites
The report creates production versions only for currently valid BOMs and routings.
Features
If no other criteria are specified, the number of created production versions is the cross-product of the currently valid BOMs with the currently valid routings, as defined by the selection conditions.
Selection
The selection criteria allow you to specify limitations for the material, the BOMs, and the routings.
Standard Variants
For practical purposes, SAP recommends using the option Based on Production Orders to create only meaningful production versions. You can select the following options:
- Only PV with routing: Only production versions for which both a valid BOM and a valid routing exist are created.
- Only PV where none exists: Production versions are created only if no production version exists or has existed in the past for the specified combination of material and plant.
- Only BOMs allocated to Routing: Production versions are created only if the routings have the corresponding BOM allocated to them.
- Based on Production Orders: To create production versions, BOM and routing information is taken from the production orders that you specify in the Production Order Limitations section.
- Also Repetitive Materials: Production version are created also for materials in Repetitive Manufacturing (materials with the "REM allowed"-flag set).
- Also display unchanged PVs: In the simulation mode, already existing production versions that meet the selection criteria are also displayed.
You can also use a radio button to select the production version creation mode: You choose whether existing production versions can be adapted or whether completely new production versions are created in any case.
Output
The result table shows the production versions according to the selection conditions and the migration criteria.
- In the Simulation Mode, the selected production versions are shown in only in the display mode.
- In the Actual Mode, a subset of all production versions can be marked as approved. By approving the production versions, they are created on database.
- If you select the option in Batch Processing, the report is run in the background mode. This means that no result table is displayed all selected production versions are and automatically approved.
Activities
In the Production Version Naming section, you can define a prefix for the names of the new production versions. The prefix forms the first part of the production version key, while the second part is a 2-digit number, which is counted successively up.
