CVP_SD_RAR_BLOCK_SYNC - Program CVP_SD_RAR_BLOCK_SYNC

Purpose

You can use this program to synchronize blocking information between Sales and Distribution(SD) and SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting(RAR).

If you are using simplified deletion and blocking as described in SAP Note 2007926, but you haven't activated the where-used check (WUC) or end of purpose check (EoP) for RAR until now (see SAP Notes 2798400 and 2812171), it is possible that there are unblocked customers in RAR that are already blocked in SD. You can use this program to resolve such inconsistencies.

Features

This program selects customers based on your selection criteria and triggers an EoP check in RAR for them. If the customers can be blocked, they are blocked in RAR. Customer data that cannot be blocked in RAR is written to the application log.

Selection

• In the Size of the Selection Blocksfield, enter the number of customers that should be processed in one block. For example, if you choose a size of 1000, the EoP check in RAR is called for 1000 customers and afterwards blocking is triggered in RAR for those customers that can be blocked. Then the EoP check and blocking is called for the next 1000 customers and so on until all customers corresponding to the selection criteria are processed. Note that setting the block size either too low or too high can cause performance issues. On the one hand, low numbers result in more RFC calls than high numbers, with each RFC call representing a delay in processing due to connection establishment. On the other hand, high numbers can cause memory issues.

• You can choose the Details of Loggingthat the program should determine and display.

• You can run the program in simulation mode. In this mode, the EoP check is done, but no customer is blocked.
