Purpose

This program checks if number ranges overlap with other systems number ranges (in the disconnected server landscape).

The report has three execution modes which can be selected with radio buttons:

"Get Data" gets number range intervals from the central system and all its disconnected systems and stores it in table /ISDFPS/NRIV. This data is then used for the check.

"Check Intervals" checks if intervals from the central system and its disconnected systems overlap with the intervals defined in the selection criteria.

"Show Current Status of Data" checks how up-to-date the gathered global number range intervals are.

Integration

Prerequisites

Execution is only possible on a central system.

Table /ISDFPS/ALE_SYS must be maintained for the central system and its disconnected systems.

The default value "gnr_admin_dest" is used for the connection to the systems. As a fallback, the value "rfcdest" is used. At least one of both destinations must be maintained for each system.

Use transaction /ISDFPS/GNR_MAINTAIN or the "Global Definition" button in this program to define the number range objects to be observed here.

You must specify the number range object name, set the globality reference to "O" and select the Active indicator. All other parameters are not used in this program.

When migrating from the DFPS solution to DFS (brown field), it is recommended to clear the table /ISDFPS/NRIV before starting the execution of the "Get Data" function for the first time.

Features

Selection

You can use the selection criteria only for "Check Intervals" and "Show Current Status of Data".

Entering no selection criteria at all does the execution for all systems, (sub-) objects and number range numbers.

"Get Data" queries number range intervals of all active objects defined in "Global Definition" from the central system and its disconnected systems.

Standard Variants

Output

"Get Data" displays an ALV table containing the fetched number range intervals. Information is given about systems that could not be reached.

"Check Intervals" displays an ALV table that shows if an interval (from the selection criteria) is overlapping with intervals from other systems in the disconnected landscape.

"Show Current Status of Data" displays an ALV table that shows how current the data of the selected intervals from the different systems is. Information shown is listed per logical system and objects and considers only intervals within the selection criteria.

Activities

"Get Data" tries to establish a connection to the disconnected systems and then to query the current number range intervals from the active objects defined in the "Global Definition" on the report-executing central system. These number range intervals will then be stored on the central system in table /ISDFPS/NRIV.

The comparison with "Check Intervals" happens with the latest available data for the intervals stored on the central system.
