Expert Functions
The following expert functions are available:
You can use this function to deletes all database entries created by the CDC recording mechanism.
All records will be deleted from tables with the prefix DHCDC*. These are the tables delivered by the CDC recording mechanism.
You could use this function, for example, to delete obsolete records in a specific client.
To use this function, select the Cleanup Control Tables radio button, enter the relevant client in the Client field and then choose the Execute button.
You can use this function to stop the CDC recording mechanism for a specific subscriber and object combination.
To use this function, select the Unsubscribe Objects radio button and then enter the relevant subscriber in the Subscriber ID field, the object type in the Object Typefield and the relevant object in the Object field. Then choose the Execute button. Note that you can select more than one object if required.
You can use this function to check whether CDC recording mechanism is working correctly for a specific subscriber and object combination.
For example, if the CDC recording mechanism is not working correctly for a specific subscriber and object combination, this function might inform you that logging table is missing or that a database trigger was deleted.
To use this function, select the Check Objects radio button and then enter the relevant subscriber in the Subscriber IDfield, the object type in the Object Type field and the relevant object in the Object field. Then choose the Execute button. Note that you can select more than one object if required.
Note that this expert function should only be used in exceptional circumstances
You can use this expert function to delete the database triggers and logging tables for specific application tables.
To use this function, select the Delete Recording Objects radio button and enter the relevant application tables in the Application Tables field. Then choose the Execute button.
This function deletes the following items for each specified application table:
- Database triggers
- Subscriber logging tables
- Master logging tables
