Purpose

Determination of a set of database tables via RFC in a remote system based on defined criteria. You have the following delimitation options:

  • Client dependency
  • Delivery class
  • Existence of table entries
  • Table name
  • Belongs to development class / package

All tables that meet the defined criteria are found. If required, the program can also check if the tables have any entries. All tables that meet the defined requirements are stored in a local file.

If you want to check the tables for existence of table entries, you can also specify if you want this check to cover cluster tables as well. However this option may result in long runtimes and should consequently be used only in exceptional cases.

Integration

The created local file can be used as the pool of relevant tables for a mass processing (transfer by means of report DMC_MT_TABLES_LOAD or via the function provided in the monitor).

Prerequisites

The user for the RFC connection must have authorization S_TABU_DIS, activity 3 (Display).
