DMC_PERF_COMPARE - Comparison of two data transfers

Purpose

This report will compare two data transfers and based on this information it can be judged if the data transfer for a certain conversion object runs with reasonable throughput, or if special measures need to be taken to improve the performance of the transfer. It allows to judge if measures taken to improve the data transfer between the first and the second transfer were successful.

Integration

Prerequisites

This report must be executed only after running the data transfer activity for the specified mass transfers and access plans. That means, two data transfers must have been executed.

Features

Throughputs for the two transfers are calculated. Change of throughput between the first and second transfer is expressed as a percentage. If the throughput is greater than 1.5, then it will be highlighted in green colour and if the throughput is less than 1, it will be shown with a red alert. If the change in percentage is greater than the improvement percentage given in the selection screen, it will be shown with a green light and if the change in percentage is less than the degradation percentage given in the selection screen, it will be shown with a red alert.

Selection

Mass transfer id and access plan id for the two transfers should be given as input to the report. The user can choose if the output has to be in a spreadsheet file or if an ALV grid has to be displayed. The user can also specify a throughput degradation percentage and a throughput improvement percentage. The user is also given an option to specify the number of conversion objects that should become part of the comparison. By default, hundred objects are considered for comparison.

The output is displayed in an ALV grid or in an excel file as per the user's selection.
