Purpose

This program deletes outdated comparison result details, either as direct online execution, or the recommended way is a periodic background job, e.g. running once a week.

Integration

The results are deleted physically from the database. They are not put into any archive.

Prerequisites

Comparison instances, which are currently running, cannot be deleted.

Features

Selection

Optionally restrict on certain comparison instance names, or even selected Run IDs of a comparison instance.

You can identify outdated results either by their age in days, or by the existence of a number of newer Run IDs.

When running the program in simulation mode, no deletion will take place. For productive usage, clear this checkbox.

Standard Variants

Typically the proposed selection options provide a feasible deletion strategy, unless you want to keep more historic detail results for a comparison instance. Normally you just delete the actual result details (key and data of inconsistencies), which consume most of the storage space (one table line per inconsistency). You can keep the result header entries (default setting), which just contain the basic key figure values and consume just one table line per Run ID.

Output

The program generates a list that shows for which comparison instances header data or detail data was deleted.
