DSWP_CDC_COMPARE_START - Cross Database Comparison: Start a Comparison Instance Run

Purpose

This program executes the comparison run for comparison instance.

Integration

This program can be called in several use-cases:

As background job with immediate execution

As scheduled or periodic background job

Online execution (per SUBMIT from Comparer UI)

Direct online execution (per Transaction DSWP_CDC_START)

Prerequisites

You have defined a comparison instance with valid connection parameters.

Features

Selection

Enter a comparison instance name.

Typically the 'Startup Mode' should be set as 'Always create a new Comparison Run'.

The additional option 'Accept duplicate compare keys' should only be used for test purposes and is not recommended for productive usage, because the comparison result may be not accurate.

Standard Variants

For execution as a background job, you need a variant containing the comparison instance name.

Output

There is no direct output of the program itself. After the comparison has finished, please review the result in the WebDynpro UI of CDC.
