Purpose

You can this report to perform the following tasks:

  • Download IRF model data as a text file from customer tables.
  • Upload IRF model data from a text file to the relevant system tables.

Prerequisites

This report is used as part of the data modeling process required for the Information Retrieval Framework (IRF). To get a comprehensive overview of how to set up your system to work with the IRF, refer to the NetWeaver application help for the Information Retrieval Framework (IRF) on the SAP Help Portal.

Features

Download Data Model

Select this option to download all data models that exist in your system.

  1. Place your cursor in the File Nameinput field and call up the field help (F4) to browse for the location of the text file you want to download.
  2. Choose Execute to start the download process.

Upload Data Model

Select this option to upload model data from your device to the relevant system tables. First, ensure that the relevant tables storing IRF model data are empty. For this, you can either run the Clear Customer Models report or you can mark the checkbox Delete Existing Data. In any case, it is recommended to make a backup copy of your existing data models before starting the upload process.

  1. Place your cursor in the File Nameinput field and call up the field help (F4) to browse for the location of the text file you want to upload.
  2. Choose Execute to start the upload process.

Activities

To access this report on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Cross-Application Components-> Data Protection-> Information Retrieval Framework-> Data Modeling -> Advanced Modeling Features -> Download/ Upload of IRF Data Models.
