Purpose

Allows you to split or merge the measuring points for a technical object (functional location or equipment).

Integration

Prerequisites

The result of a split or merge should have technical objects that are continuous and follow each other without a gap. Only when this is achieved, the measuring points can be split or merged.

Output

The log will display the split or merged measuring points.

Activities

Example

Split Technical Object (Functional Location or Equipment)

The original single technical object may have the distance 100 km. When you split this technical object as 1 km to 50 km and 50 km to 100 km, the split technical objects must be as follows:

Technical object 1:

Start point - 1 km

End point - 50 km

Technical object 2:

Start point - 50 km

End point - 100 km

The measuring point 1 with reference to the technical object 1 that has coordinates 10 km to 60 km will split as below:

Measuring point 1 - Reference technical object 1 (10 km to 50 km)

Measuring point 2 - Reference technical object 2 (50 km to 60 km)

Merge Technical Objects

When we merge two technical objects (technical object 1 and technical object 2), the result is a single technical object 1.

Technical object 1:

Start point - 1 km

End point - 50 km

Technical object 2:

Start point - 50 km

End point - 100 km

The measuring point 1 with reference to the technical object 1 has coordinates 10 km to 40 km. The measuring point 2 with reference to the technical object 2 has coordinates 60 km to 90 km.

Measuring point 1 will have the same reference technical object 1.

Measuring point 2 will change the reference from technical object 2 to technical object 1.
