ECPAO_ERP_TO_EC_CREAT_SPL_CUST - Tool to automate the configuration of ERP data migration to EC
CPI1466 during Backup Vendor Master (General Section)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Purpose
Integration
This program enable you to automate the customizing steps that are required to be performed by you to replicate employee master data and organizational data to SuccessFactors Employee Central. Previously you were required to perform all these configurations manually and with this automation report, the effort would be reduced noticeably. However, the value mapping for the ERP and Employee Central fields might vary based on the different Employee Central instance. Hence you will have to create few of the value mapping entries (which is not delivered in standard replication) manually for a successful employee replication.
Prerequisites
- You need to have the authorization to create a customizing request in the system.
- You need to download the metadata file and the picklist file from the Employee Central into your local system.
Features
Selection
Create/Select Customizing Request
You can select the customizing request for which you want to perform the automation. You can either choose Create Customizing Request or Select Customizing Request. When you choose "Create Customizing Request", it shows the customizing request user name and the system on which you want to perform the automation report and when you choose "Select Customizing Request", you need to choose the open customization request that you have in your user name/system.
Create EC Instance
You should specify an ID in the ERP system, which represents your SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central configuration and refers to the metadata you use in Employee Central and to basic settings for data transfer between ERP and Employee Central (see Specify Employee Central Instance ID).
Import of EC metadata
You can import the metadata such as field names and field descriptions from SuccessFactors Employee Central into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (see Import of Metadata from Employee Central). This metadata is used when transferring data between Employee Central and ERP.
Import of EC Picklist data
You can import picklists and picklist values from SuccessFactors Employee Central into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (see Import EC Picklist Data). You can use the imported picklists and picklist values when defining value mappings in Customizing to map Employee Central field values to values of ERP fields.
Create the template group
You can create the template group for which you can want to automate the process
- Enter the template group name
- Enter a description for the template group.
Configurations for Organizational Data Migration from ERP to EC
You can configure the organizational data migration settings here.
- Select the locale for which you want to migrate the data.
- Enter the template group ID for the organizational data migration.
- Enter a description for the template group.
Note
This is applicable only for migrating organizational data from SAP ERP HCM system to SuccessFactors Employee Central system. You need to deselect this option if you are trying to replicate only the Employee Master Data.
