ECPAO_TRANSFER_FO_OBJ_TO_EC - Transfer Foundation Objects from ERP to Employee Central

Purpose

This program extracts Foundation object data from ERP and migrates it to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC). The program calls the BAdI ECPAO_TRANSFER_FO_OBJ_TO_EC to populate the data to be sent to Employee Central.

You can use this program for migrating the standard Foundation objects - Pay component, Pay component group and Company via the corresponding default active BAdI implementation delivered by SAP. Also you can configure any custom Foundation object using the view V_ECPAO_FO_UPS and use this report for migrating that object. For more information about this BAdI, see Transferring Foundation Objects to EC.

Integration

You can call this program using the ECPAO_TRANS_FO_OBJ transaction code.

Prerequisites

You will have to enable the Web Service as a communication channel before you execute this report as the report will work only through Web Service. For more information, refer to the "Checking the Minimum Setup Required for Your Systems" topic in the "Replicating Employee Data from SAP ERP HCM to Employee Central Using SAP Cloud Platform Integration as the Middleware guide" to enable Web Service.

Features

Selection

EC Instance

Enter the Employee Central Instance for which you want to transfer the Foundation objects from ERP to Employee Central.

Foundation Object

Select the required foundation object that you want to migrate. You can either select a standard Foundation object or any custom Foundation object that has been configured in view V_ECPAO_FO_UPS. Based on the Foundation object that you have selected, the selection screen parameters will change accordingly.

Select one of the following options:

• Foundation Objects Selection from Screen

In this case you need to specify the country grouping.

For foundation object Pay Component you also specify the wage type or multiple wage types you want to transfer to Employee Central.

For foundation object Pay Component Group you also specify the wage type group or multiple wage type groups you want to transfer to Employee Central.

For foundation object Legal Entity you also specify the legal entity you want to transfer to Employee Central.

• Transport Request

Select a transport request to collect all wage types, wage type groups, or company contained in this request. Based on the type of foundation object selected either the corresponding wage types, wage type groups, or company locked in the transport request will be migrated to Employee Central.

Earliest Transfer Date

Choose the earliest transfer date from which you want to migrate the data. This date has to be considered as the start date of migration process in the BAdI ECPAO_TRANSFER_FO_OBJ_TO_EC implementation..

Test Run

Specify if you want to carry out a test run. If you run this program in a test system or client and haven't selected the Test Run checkbox, the program asks for a transport request.
