EDX_TRACE - EDX: Display Trace Messages from Processing

Purpose

You can use this report to display trace messages. These log messages are entered in a database table during processing.

You can switch tracing on or off using configuration table EDX_SETUP (transaction SM30, table EDX_SETUP, the Activate Logging field).

Tracing should normally be switched off, otherwise a large data volume is collected.

Despite this, errors that occur during processing are always logged.

Features

You can call the report using transaction EDX_TRACE.

Other functions include:

• F8 button: ,,The trace messages are displayed.

• Save to a File: ,,The trace messages are saved in a file.

• Delete from List: ,,The trace messages are deleted in the list.

Selection

• Entries from the Period:,,Only include entries from this period.

• Date Selection:,,The above entries can be quickly changed.

Standard Variants

Output

List of all log entries selected listed in descending order periodically.
