ESH_ENG_PS_MAIN_SWITCH - Settings for User-Centric Search

In this customizing activity, you set the policy of the personalized search function which includes user specific ranking of search results.

Note: Enabling personalized search is linked with the collection and evaluation of user-specific data which is available in the SAP system. That data includes user-related system usage e.g. former search queries, the selected data sources or connectors, the clicked search results.

Personalized Search Policy

You can enable or disable personalized search for all users, or enable it for users who can use the function after having approved it or unless they rejected it by their own on the user interface.

Users who rejected the approval are listed. You can add additional users e.g. for software test reasons. You can remove their names afterwards from the list.

You can delete the history data for all users centrally.

If you are not allowed to collect user-specific data by law or other reasons you can enable anonymous query logging instead. This function collects anonymized search-specific data during search which is used for assisting features like auto-completion.
