Purpose

You use this check report to check whether the assignment of profit centers is still consistent in the asset master records after the reorganization has been performed.
Exception: If investment measures are concerned, the profit center can be derived from the investment measure specified in the asset master record in the origin data. In such cases, the derived profit center of the cost objects stored in the asset master record does not have to match the profit center from the investment measure in the origin data. In the system, you may have to convert the relevant error messages into warning messages.

It is only possible to change a fixed asset before reassignment is started for the reorganization. Once the fixed asset has been included in the reorganization plan, it cannot be changed any more.

Recommendation:
We therefore recommend performing this activity before you start the reorganization.

Integration

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met:

  • You use General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL) and Asset Accounting (FI-AA) in your production system.
  • You have activated segment reporting in Customizing for Asset Accounting with the activity Activate Segment Reporting and you have carried out the additional activities listed there.

Features

Selection

You have the following selection options:

  • Asset
  • Asset Subnumber
  • Cost Center
  • WBS Element
  • Internal Order

You have the following additional selection options:

  • Fixed Assets with Real Estate Key:
The cost object Real Estate Key is not reorganized automatically. If the profit center assignment is inconsistent, you have to correct your fixed asset manually.
  • Inconsistent Fixed Assets
  • Fixed Assets with Multiple Account Assignments:
This option relates to fixed assets with multiple cost objects in the master record.

Standard Variants

Output

This check report shows the following statuses:

  • Consistent:
The fixed asset is consistent after the reorganization has been performed.
  • Inconsistent:
The fixed asset must be corrected before the reorganization is performed. The fixed asset may, for example, be inconsistent because there are multiple CO objects in the asset master record but not all CO objects are reorganized.
  • PrCtr of Asset <> PrCtr of CO Object:
The fixed asset is already consistent with regards to the profit center of the CO object. The fixed asset cannot be reorganized.
Exceptions are investment measures that are specified in the origin data of the asset master record: A profit center that is not unique is permitted here (see above).
  • Asset was already reorganized:
The fixed asset is in the reorganization plan and has already been reorganized.

Among the information provided in the columns, the check report provides the following:

  • Postings After Reorganization Date:
If postings already exist after the reorganization date, no reorganization can be performed. Any such postings must be reversed before the reorganization is started.
  • Depreciation Postings After Reorganization Date:
If depreciation postings already exist after the reorganization date, no reorganization can be performed. Any such postings must be reversed before the reorganization is started.
  • New profit center of the related CO objects and previous profit center of the fixed asset.
