Purpose

You use this report to check whether group-dependent manual journal entries (posting level 30), which are posted to a consolidation group (CG), are also posted to other consolidation groups.

This comparison is necessary when manual journal entries are relevant for a subgroup and also for a parent group.

For the comparison, you select one Source Consolidation Group and you can select one or more Target Consolidation Groups. You can also restrict the comparison to a selection of document numbers. By default, the report doesn’t compare the text, but you can select the option to compare the text field as well.

Activities

The report displays the following:

Comparison status by source document

For each source document, the following lines are displayed:

  • The source document number with the following matching status:
  • "Ok” if a matching document is found in every target consolidation group

  • "Not Ok” otherwise

  • The matching document number in the target consolidation group with following status:
  • "Ok” if found

  • “N/A” if not found, with status “Not Ok”

Source documents with partial comparison matches

When only some line items in the source document are matched in the target consolidation group(s), this is displayed on the right side of the report results. For each line item in the source document, the following lines are displayed:

  • The source document line item, with the following matching status:
  • “Matches found”

  • “No match found”

  • When Matches are found, the line items in the matching document are displayed with the status “Matching”

Analyze the results of the comparison. When a group journal entry has no matching in the target consolidation group, and if such an entry is needed, post the missing group journal entries in the consolidation group.
