FINS_CFIN_AV_DOC_DELETE - Accounting View of Logistics Information Deletion Report

Purpose

You use this report to delete the Accounting View of Logistics data which is replicated from your source systems and stored in dedicated tables in Central Finance.

It may be necessary to delete this type of data in your Central Finance system periodically to reduce the volume of data in your system and for reasons relating to data privacy. However, data that is needed for central processes should not be deleted.

Note that the legal archiving of the documents must be executed in the original source system.

Run this report in test mode first in case you accidentally delete documents which have successor documents in the document flow.

Prerequisites

Features

You can delete data on the level of a single document or on organizational level by specifying parameters such as a company code and time of generation. Note that you can only select data from the Central Finance system.

To uniquely identify the supplier invoice that you want to delete, you must specify both a document number and a fiscal year.

Standard Variants

Selection

Business Object

You use the drop-down list to select the type of business object you want to delete.

Test Run

You use this selection to run this report in test mode. Data will not be actually deleted but the execution results will be stored in the log.

Show Errors and Warnings Only

If you choose “Show errors and warnings only”, only objects which have been deleted with errors or warnings will be displayed in the log.

Deletion/Archive Indicator

You use this field to further restrict the range of data you want to delete. If you leave this field blank, the system will delete all replicated logistics data in the Central Finance system that meets your selection criteria.

Output

After running this report, you can get:

• How many objects have been deleted in total

• How many objects have been deleted successfully

• How many objects have been deleted with warnings

Note: The report checks whether documents in the document flow have related successor documents. If successor documents exist, the system displays a warning message.

• How many objects have been deleted with errors

Additionally, you can display the log to see detailed deletion results. If you want to access the log by calling transaction SLG1, enter the following object and subobject name:

Object: FINS

Subobject: FINS_CFIN_AVL

Activities

To access this report, call transaction FINS_CFIN_AVL_DELor execute the report FINS_CFIN_AV_DOC_DELETEin the Central Finance system.
