Purpose

To avoid extra effort during test iterations, you can use this program to record errors that were accepted in the “Start and Monitor Data Migration" step in a transport request. If you import this transport request into a system where you perform subsequent test iterations before you execute the “Start and Monitor Data Migration” step in that system, these errors are automatically accepted in that system.

Note that you should preferably correct the error cause instead of accepting an error during the “Start and Monitor Data Migration” step. However, if the analysis of the error resulted in the informed decision to accept the error and if the same error cause is expected in the target system, you can transfer the accepted error to avoid extra effort in the target system.

Selection

The Type of Mass Data Activity field is pre-filled with all activities that support accepting error messages. With this default, all accepted error messages are included in the transport request. Remove the activities that you don't want to include.

In the Transport request field, you must enter a Customizing request or task.

  1. Select the data migration step for which you want to transport the accepted errors.
When executing the program, the system populates the selection parameter with all steps enabled to accept errors.
  1. Specify a Customizing request or task.
The accepted errors are added to this task.
As soon as the system has successfully included the accepted errors in the transport request, the system issues a success message. If no error messages are added, the system issues an error message.
  1. After the program run has been completed successfully, check and release the Customizing request.
