Purpose

Use this app to periodically recalculate the revenue recognition values for all WBS elements that are relevant for event-based revenue recognition. In event-based revenue recognition, costs and revenues associated with project-based transactions are recognized in real time. However, there can be cases where a periodic run is necessary. For example, you may have adjusted the revenue recognition values with the Event-Based Revenue Recognition - Projects app to change the planned cost or adjust deferrals. In such cases you need to either use the Revalue function to recalculate the revenue recognition values for the specific WBS elements affected, or execute a periodic revenue recognition run.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

The run selects all objects that are relevant for event-based revenue recognition. Selection is based on the recognition key.

The values calculated by the run are compared with the previously posted event-based revenue recognition values. If differences are detected, adjustment postings are generated.

You can perform a simulation run and see the results as a list.
