General Material Data ABAP Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Purpose
This conversion program is delivered with SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1902.
The program is part of the upgrade from SAP S/4HANA Cloud release 1811 to 1902.
The program is relevant for the following applications:
- FI-GL
- FI-AA
- FIN-FSCM-TRM
- RE-FX-RA
The program converts the following data:
- Customizing (configuration) data and
- Transactional data depending on the Customizing (configuration) changes
Integration
Prerequisites
Features
These are the main features of the program:
- The program exchanges the local accounting principle (key = LG) with a country-specific (local) accounting principle (key =
AP ; example USAP for local GAAP in the USA).
- For FI-AA, the program converts data from existing Customizing tables to a new set of Customizing tables. This is a technical prerequisite for future features: This way, it will be possible to support up to ten currencies which are defined in FI-GL configuration.
- For Treasury and Risk Management (FIN-FSCM-TRM), the program executes a complex migration of Customizing settings, especially the settings for the valuation classes and the position management procedures need to be adapted. In addition, the existing application data need to be converted according to the new Customizing settings. For more information, see also FIN-FSCM-TRM Conversion
- The changes in the Customizing tables of the above-mentioned applications are transferred to the Content Framework runtime API. When the CE1902 content activation is executed, the Customizing table changes, the new CE1902 SAP reference content and the custom content are kept in synch.
- Open Q to P transports of customers are also converted from old to new Customizing tables.
