FINS_XPRA_VE_CONVERT_RULE - Data Conversion for Validation Rule in release CE2208/OP2022

Purpose

A new Balance Validation framework is introduced in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208 and SAP S/4HANA 2022. The framework provides the validation infrastructure to accommodate all kinds of validation scenarios such as Financial Accounting and Group Reporting.

Due to a different data structure for Group Reporting validation rules available in previous releases, the conversions for these existing rules are required in the following database tables:

o,,Copy the key fields from the table VEC_RULE where Scenario (SCEN_ID) = 'FINCS' and Rule Category (RULE_CATEGORY) <> 'CR'

o,,Fill Function Name (SFUN_NAME) according to the value in Amount field (AMT_FLD_NAME)

Activities

During the system upgrade from SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2202 to SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208, and from lower or equal to SAP S/4HANA 2021 to SAP S/4HANA 2022 or higher, the validation rules should be converted for the Balance Validation Framework using XPRA object: FINS_VE_CONVERT_RULE.
