Purpose

With the Reconcile GR/IR Accounts app general ledger accountants can process purchase order items where goods receipts and invoice receipts do not balance after some time, because amounts or quantities differ and the system cannot clear them automatically. The general ledger accountants set statuses for those purchase order items to indicate the next actions that must be taken in the business context for a certain purchase order item. The series of steps taken leads to a balanced GR/IR account at period end.

A machine learning service which is a feature of the Reconcile GR/IR Accounts app predicts the next status based on the history of processing these purchase order items and displays it on the user interface as a recommended status.

This job takes data from the table that contains the history of the previous interactions of the general ledger accountants and trains the prediction model using these data.
